Getting Started
Everything you need before and after signing up
What is Ruproa?
- Ruproa is a business financial platform built for entrepreneurs who have recently formed their first LLC or corporation. We help you build and monitor your business credit profile, without requiring your Social Security Number. Monitoring covers Creditsafe and Equifax Business, with more bureaus on the way. The platform also includes educational courses and a financial services marketplace.
Who is Ruproa designed for?
- Ruproa is built for early-stage business owners, entrepreneurs who have recently registered an LLC or corporation and are beginning to establish their business financial identity. Whether you are pre-revenue or in your early growth stage, Ruproa gives you the foundation to build business credit, access financing, and make informed financial decisions from day one.
What do I need to sign up?
- To create a Ruproa account you need: your business name and legal entity type (LLC, S-Corp, C-Corp, etc.), your EIN (Employer Identification Number), a valid business email address, and your business address. Your business must be a registered legal entity to access credit monitoring features. No SSN is required.
Do I need an SSN to sign up?
- No. Ruproa is built around EIN-only applications. You apply using your Employer Identification Number, which keeps your personal credit score completely separate from your business activities from day one. This is one of Ruproa's core differentiators, your personal financial identity is never put at risk.
What is an EIN and how do I get one?
- An EIN (Employer Identification Number) is your business's federal tax ID issued by the IRS. It is required to sign up for Ruproa and to apply for business credit. You can obtain a free EIN instantly at irs.gov, the online application takes about 10 minutes. If you have recently registered your LLC or corporation, you likely already have one.
How long does setup take?
- Creating your account takes less than five minutes. Once your business details are verified, your business credit profile will typically begin populating within 24–48 hours. Some bureau data may take slightly longer depending on how recently your business was registered.
Is Ruproa available in all states?
- Yes. Ruproa is available to legally registered businesses throughout the United States. Some financial service providers in our marketplace may have state-specific availability, which is noted on each provider's listing.
What makes Ruproa different from competitors like Nav?
- Ruproa combines business credit monitoring, automatic tradeline reporting, an educational course library, and a financial services marketplace in one platform. We require no SSN and are built specifically for early-stage entrepreneurs. Monitoring and reporting cover Creditsafe and Equifax Business, with more bureaus on the way. Those are the differentiators Ruproa positions on rather than verified claims about anyone else's current product, so compare features directly before you decide.
Can I use Ruproa if my business was just registered?
- Absolutely, that is exactly who Ruproa is built for. The earlier you start building your business credit profile, the stronger your financial foundation will be when you need access to capital. Many credit-building strategies are most effective in the first 6–12 months of a new business.
Is there a free trial or free plan?
- There is a real Free plan and there is no free trial. The Free plan costs nothing and does not expire: you get your business credit dashboard, a company profile built on your EIN with no SSN, the marketplace, and credit-building resources. Live bureau reports and scores are the paid unlock, starting with Starter at $19 per month. Visit ruproa.com/pricing to compare. We periodically offer introductory promotions, check our website or contact service@ruproa.com for current offers.
Business Credit
Building, understanding, and protecting your business credit
What is business credit and why does it matter?
- Business credit is a financial profile tied to your business entity and EIN, completely separate from your personal credit. It reflects how reliably your business pays its obligations to vendors, creditors, and lenders. A strong business credit profile lets you access financing at better rates, open vendor accounts without personal guarantees, and protect your personal finances from your business's financial obligations.
How is business credit different from personal credit?
- Personal credit reflects your individual financial history using your SSN, and is tracked by the consumer credit bureaus. Business credit is tied to your EIN and tracked by commercial bureaus including Equifax Business and Creditsafe. They are legally distinct. Once your business credit is strong enough, lenders evaluate your business on its own, without your personal score entering the conversation.
Can my business credit affect my personal credit score?
- In most cases, business credit activity does not appear on your personal credit report. Exceptions include: signing a personal guarantee on a business loan and defaulting, using a personal credit card for business expenses, or holding a business credit card that also reports to personal bureaus. Ruproa's EIN-only model is specifically designed to keep this separation clean from day one.
How do I start building business credit from scratch?
- The foundational steps are: get your EIN from the IRS, open a dedicated business bank account in your business name, get a business credit card and pay it in full monthly, open net-30 vendor accounts with suppliers who report to business bureaus, and ensure your business information is consistent across all filings. Ruproa automates the reporting step and provides courses covering the complete strategy.
How long does it take to build a strong business credit profile?
- With consistent effort, most businesses establish a solid foundational profile within 12–18 months. A well-rounded profile with multiple tradelines typically develops over 2–3 years. The earlier you start, the better positioned you will be when you need capital.
What factors hurt my business credit score?
- The most common negative factors are: late or missed payments to vendors and creditors, high credit utilization, tax liens or UCC filings, judgments or bankruptcies, inconsistent business information across bureaus, and a short credit history. Ruproa surfaces the specific factors affecting each of your bureau scores so you know exactly what to address first.
What is a personal guarantee and how do I avoid needing one?
- A personal guarantee makes you personally liable for a business debt if the business cannot pay. Lenders require them from businesses with no established credit because they have no other way to assess risk. The goal of building strong business credit is to eventually qualify for financing without a personal guarantee, which Ruproa's tradeline reporting helps you achieve over time.
What is credit utilization and how does it affect my scores?
- Credit utilization is the percentage of your available business credit currently in use. Keeping utilization under 30%, ideally under 20%, is one of the most impactful ways to maintain and improve your business credit scores. High utilization signals financial stress to bureaus even if all payments are on time.
Can competitors, vendors, or landlords check my business credit?
- Yes. Unlike consumer credit, business credit reports can generally be accessed by anyone without your consent, lenders, suppliers, landlords, and potential partners can all review your profile at any time. This is why active monitoring and quick dispute resolution matter. Ruproa keeps you informed of any changes to your profile.
What is a net-30 account and why is it important?
- A net-30 account is a trade credit arrangement where you receive goods or services and have 30 days to pay. Vendors who offer net-30 terms and report payments to business credit bureaus are one of the fastest and easiest ways to build tradeline history for a new business. Consistent on-time payments across several net-30 accounts form the foundation of a strong business credit profile.
What is the difference between secured and unsecured business credit?
- Secured business credit is backed by collateral, assets the lender can claim if you default. Unsecured credit requires no collateral and is granted based on your creditworthiness alone. Most early-stage businesses start with secured products (secured business credit cards, equipment loans) and graduate to unsecured credit as their profile strengthens. A strong Ruproa credit profile accelerates access to unsecured products.
Does my business structure (LLC vs S-Corp vs C-Corp) affect my credit?
- Your business structure determines your legal separation from personal liability, but all registered entities can build business credit. LLCs, S-Corps, and C-Corps can all have EINs and establish bureau profiles. Sole proprietorships are trickier, some bureaus require a formal entity registration to build a distinct business profile. Ruproa works with all legal business entity types.
Scores & Bureaus
How each bureau works and what your scores mean
Which bureaus does Ruproa monitor?
- Ruproa monitors the major business credit bureaus: Creditsafe and Equifax Business. All bureau coverage is included with your paid plan. See ruproa.com/pricing for full plan details.
What is the Equifax Business Credit Score?
- Equifax's business score on Ruproa is the OneScore for Commercial, which ranges from 300 to 650, a higher score signals lower risk and stronger creditworthiness. Lenders use it to gauge how likely your business is to pay on time. Ruproa displays your current OneScore and tracks changes over time.
What is Creditsafe and why does it matter?
- Creditsafe is a global business credit bureau with strong U.S. and international coverage. Their scores range from 0 to 100. Many international vendors, enterprise procurement teams, and European financial partners use Creditsafe as their primary reference. Having a Creditsafe profile establishes your business's credibility with a broader global network.
Why are my scores different across bureaus?
- Each bureau uses its own proprietary scoring model, pulls from different data sources, and updates on different schedules. Different scores across Equifax and Creditsafe is completely normal, they are measuring the same business but through different data lenses. Focus on the trend over time on each bureau rather than exact number alignment between them.
How often does Ruproa update my scores?
- Ruproa updates your scores monthly as new bureau data becomes available. The exact timing depends on when your creditors and vendors report to each bureau, some update mid-month, others at the start of a new cycle. You will receive a notification when a score changes.
What score ranges are considered good?
- General benchmarks: Equifax OneScore for Commercial ranges from 300 to 650, and a higher score means lower risk. Creditsafe, 70 to 100 is low risk. Ruproa's dashboard provides context for each score relative to these benchmarks.
How do I dispute an error on my business credit report?
- You have the right to dispute inaccurate information directly with the reporting bureau. Each has its own process: Equifax Business at equifax.com/business and Creditsafe at creditsafe.com. Ruproa cannot alter bureau data directly, but our team can help you understand what to dispute and prepare your documentation. Contact service@ruproa.com for dispute guidance.
Why does my business have no credit profile yet?
- Newly registered businesses typically have no bureau profile until they establish trade accounts and have payment history reported. Having a blank or unestablished profile in your first few months is completely normal. Ruproa's monthly reporting begins building your bureau files from the moment you connect your accounts.
How does Ruproa report to the bureaus?
- Ruproa transmits authorized payment history to its business credit bureau partners on a monthly cycle. You do not need to do anything manually, reporting happens in the background once your account is set up and verified.
Tradelines & Reporting
How automatic reporting works and what gets reported
What is a tradeline?
- A tradeline is any credit account that appears on your business credit report, vendor accounts, business credit cards, loans, lines of credit, or any other credit facility. Each tradeline reported with positive payment history strengthens your business credit profile. The number of tradelines, their age, and your payment consistency across them are major factors in your scores.
How does Ruproa's automatic tradeline reporting work?
- Ruproa reports your connected business account payment history to the credit bureaus on your behalf every month. Once your accounts are set up in your dashboard, reporting happens in the background, no manual steps required. Each on-time payment becomes a positive update to your bureau files.
Which accounts get reported?
- Ruproa reports business accounts and payment history that you authorize within your dashboard. We do not report personal accounts. To maximize your tradeline count, ensure all your business vendor relationships and credit facilities are connected in the platform. The more positive tradelines reported, the faster your profile builds.
How many tradelines do I need for strong credit?
- Most lenders want to see a minimum of three to five active, positive tradelines before approving business financing. Having more tradelines with consistent on-time payment history signals reliability. Net-30 vendor accounts are typically the most accessible starting point for businesses with no established credit history.
How long before a new tradeline appears on my report?
- After a payment is reported, it typically takes 30–60 days to appear on your bureau profile, though some bureaus update faster. Ruproa reports on a monthly cycle, so your first update should appear within one to two billing periods after connecting your accounts.
Can negative tradelines be removed?
- Accurate negative information cannot be removed before its natural expiration on your business credit report. However, you can dispute genuinely inaccurate or outdated negative entries directly with the reporting bureau. Adding new positive tradelines over time also dilutes the impact of older negatives as your overall profile grows.
What is the difference between a hard pull and a soft pull?
- A soft pull on business credit does not impact your scores, Ruproa uses soft pulls for all monitoring and internal checks. A hard pull (hard inquiry) occurs when a lender formally applies to access your full credit report, which can slightly lower your scores temporarily. Hard pulls appear on your bureau reports and are visible to other lenders. Ruproa always indicates the pull type before any inquiry is initiated.
What are vendor tradelines and how do I get them?
- Vendor tradelines come from suppliers who extend trade credit (net-30, net-60, or net-90 terms) and report your payments to business bureaus. Common starter vendors known to report include Uline, Quill, Grainger, and various office supply companies. Ruproa's course library covers vendor tradeline strategy in detail, including which vendors to prioritize based on your business type and existing profile.
What is a UCC filing and how does it affect my credit?
- A UCC (Uniform Commercial Code) filing is a lender's public notice that they hold a security interest in your business assets as collateral. Active UCC filings appear on your business credit reports and can concern other lenders who see their position as secondary. When you pay off a loan with a UCC filing, ensure the lender files a UCC termination promptly, otherwise it lingers on your record unnecessarily and can complicate future applications.

Will I receive a receipt after payment?

How do I update my payment method?

Can I have multiple businesses on one account?
- Currently each Ruproa account is associated with a single business entity. A separate account is required for each business you want to monitor. Multi-entity management is on our product roadmap. Contact service@ruproa.com to discuss your specific situation.
Can I pause my subscription?
- Ruproa does not currently offer a pause option. If you need to step away, you can cancel and re-subscribe at any time. Your business credit data on the platform is retained and accessible when you return.
Why was I charged a different amount than expected?
- This is most commonly related to a plan change, an annual vs. monthly billing switch, or a promotional code being applied or expiring. Review Account Settings → Billing for your charge history. If the discrepancy is not explained there, contact service@ruproa.com with the charge date and amount.

It will explain which factors are helping or hurting each score and suggest prioritized actions. It is designed to educate and coach, not provide financial advice. Coming soon.
Will coming-soon features cost extra?
- We have not finalized pricing for all upcoming features. Some will be included in existing plans and some may be premium add-ons. We will communicate clearly before any additional charges apply. Contact service@ruproa.com if you have questions.
Marketplace & Financial Services
Connecting with lenders and financial providers
What is the Ruproa marketplace?
- The Ruproa marketplace is a curated network of financial service providers, including lenders, credit product issuers, and business financial partners, that you can connect with directly through the platform. It is designed to match early-stage businesses with the right financial products based on their current credit profile and needs.
What types of products are available?
- The marketplace includes business lines of credit, term loans, business credit cards, invoice financing, equipment financing, and other financial products relevant to small and growing businesses. Available products vary by provider and your business's qualifying criteria.
Does Ruproa charge fees for marketplace connections?
- Ruproa does not charge you for connecting with marketplace providers. Ruproa may receive referral compensation from financial service providers as part of its business model. This does not influence which providers are listed or what products are shown to you.
Are marketplace providers vetted?
- Yes. All providers in the Ruproa marketplace go through a vetting process before being listed. However, Ruproa acts as an introduction platform only, we do not underwrite, fund, or guarantee any financial product. All final terms, decisions, and agreements are between you and the provider directly.
Will applying for a product affect my credit score?
- It depends on the provider and product. Some initial inquiries use soft pulls with no score impact. Formal loan applications typically involve a hard pull by the lender. Each provider's listing indicates which pull type is used. Ruproa itself does not initiate hard credit pulls.
What credit profile do I need to access marketplace offers?
- There is no minimum score required to browse the marketplace. Individual providers set their own qualification criteria. Some products are specifically designed for businesses with limited or no established credit history. Ruproa shows you options relevant to your current profile.
How do I apply through the marketplace?
- Click through to the provider's listing and select Apply. You will be directed to the provider's own application. Ruproa does not collect or process your application, that is handled directly with the provider.
Can I work with a marketplace provider outside of Ruproa?
- Yes. Once introduced through the marketplace, your relationship with the provider is your own. Ruproa does not restrict or monitor external relationships formed through the platform.
MaverickOfficeSupplies Migration
For customers and affiliates transitioning from MaverickOfficeSupplies.com
What happened to MaverickOfficeSupplies.com?
- MaverickOfficeSupplies.com (MOS) was our previous business, which sold ebooks, courses, and document templates through Shopify. MOS has been fully retired and transitioned into Ruproa, our new business financial platform. All MOS customer accounts, purchase histories, and digital products have been migrated. MOS is no longer an active business.
I was a MOS customer. Do I have a Ruproa account?
- Yes. All MOS customers were migrated to Ruproa and should have received an email with instructions to access your account and claim your migration promotion. If you have not received this email or cannot locate it, contact service@ruproa.com with the email address you used on MOS and we will assist you.
I received a promotional code as part of the migration. How do I use it?
- Your migration promotional code was sent to your email address on file. Enter it at checkout when signing up or upgrading on Ruproa. Each code is single-use, locked to your email address, and cannot be transferred or shared. If your code is not working, contact service@ruproa.com.
What discounts did MOS customers receive?
- Migration offers were tiered by purchase history: high-value customers received a discount on the Enterprise plan for 12 months; recent buyers received a discount on the Professional plan for 12 months; older buyers received a discount on the Professional plan for 3 months; customers who signed up but never purchased received a special introductory rate on the Starter plan. Your specific offer was included in your migration email.
My promotional code has expired. Can I still get a discount?
- Migration codes had a limited validity window. If yours has expired, contact service@ruproa.com and reference your MOS purchase history. Our team will review your case and work to honor the intent of the original offer where possible.
I had an active MOS subscription. Was it moved to Ruproa automatically?
- No. MOS subscriptions were not automatically transferred to Ruproa, the two platforms use different payment systems. Your MOS subscription has ended and you will not be charged on that platform going forward. To continue receiving business credit services on Ruproa, sign up for a plan using your migration promotional code.
Do I need to re-enter my billing information?
- Yes. Because MOS and Ruproa use different payment systems, your payment details do not transfer. When you sign up on Ruproa you will be prompted to enter your card information. This is a one-time step. Ruproa processes all payments through Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified processor.
I bought ebooks and courses on MOS. Where are they now?
- All digital products you purchased on MOS are available in your Ruproa account under My Library. These include ebooks, courses, and document templates. They will remain accessible for at least one year from the migration date. If a product is missing from your library, contact service@ruproa.com with your original MOS order details.
I was a MOS affiliate. What happens to my commissions?
- Your final month of MOS affiliate commissions will be paid out per your original affiliate agreement. Ruproa has a separate affiliate program, visit ruproa.com/auth/affiliate/signup to apply. Our affiliate team will assist with updating your tracking links once you are approved.
My old MOS affiliate links no longer work. Can they be redirected?
- We are setting up redirects for known MOS affiliate links. If you have specific links you need redirected, send them to affiliate@ruproa.com and we will prioritize setting up the appropriate redirect to the Ruproa equivalent page.

Is MaverickOfficeSupplies.com the same company as Ruproa?
- MaverickOfficeSupplies.com was a prior business operated by Forthwith Industry LLC. Ruproa is the current business, also operated by Forthwith Industry LLC. All obligations and customer relationships from MOS now sit with Ruproa.
Can I still access MaverickOfficeSupplies.com?
- MaverickOfficeSupplies.com is no longer an active store. Visitors are redirected to Ruproa. No new purchases can be made on MOS. All account access, product availability, and customer support is handled exclusively through Ruproa.
Platform Migration, General
Moving to Ruproa from any other platform or service
I am switching to Ruproa from another business credit platform. How do I get started?
- Sign up at ruproa.com/auth/customer/signup with your EIN and business details. Your existing business credit history lives at the bureaus and will be visible in your Ruproa dashboard once your profile is verified, you do not lose any credit history by switching platforms. You will need to enter your payment details as Ruproa uses Stripe for billing.
Will switching to Ruproa affect my existing business credit scores?
- No. Your business credit history is held at the bureaus themselves, not at any monitoring platform. Switching to Ruproa has no impact on your scores. You simply connect to your existing bureau files through the new platform. Ruproa connects to the major business credit bureaus: Creditsafe and Equifax Business.
Can I transfer my subscription from another service to Ruproa?
- Subscriptions and billing arrangements from other platforms do not transfer to Ruproa. You will need to cancel your previous service separately and start a new Ruproa subscription. Make sure to cancel your old platform before your next billing date to avoid being charged on both. Ruproa does not coordinate cancellations on other services on your behalf.
I was using Nav. How does Ruproa compare?
- Ruproa and Nav both offer business credit monitoring, but Ruproa is built specifically for early-stage entrepreneurs with a more comprehensive approach: we monitor the major business credit bureaus (vs. Nav's limited coverage), provide automatic tradeline reporting, require no SSN, include an educational course library, and have a financial services marketplace, all in one platform. If you are migrating from Nav, simply sign up on Ruproa and your existing bureau data will populate from the bureaus directly.
My previous platform reported my tradelines. Will Ruproa continue that?
- Yes. Once you are set up on Ruproa and your accounts are connected, Ruproa reports your payment history to the bureaus included in your plan every month. There may be a one-cycle gap during the transition, this is normal and does not negatively impact your profile. Contact service@ruproa.com if you have concerns about continuity.
I had a promo code for Ruproa from a partner or affiliate. How do I use it?
- Enter your promotional code at checkout when signing up or upgrading. Each code is subject to the specific terms it was issued under. If you have questions about what your code includes or are having trouble applying it, contact service@ruproa.com.
I signed up for Ruproa but my credit data is not showing yet.
- Bureau data typically populates within 24–48 hours of account verification. If it has been more than 72 hours and your dashboard is still empty, check that your business information (EIN, address, business name) is entered exactly as it appears in your bureau filings. Discrepancies can prevent data matching. Contact service@ruproa.com if the issue persists.
Can I import my credit history or reports from another platform into Ruproa?
- Ruproa pulls your business credit data directly from the bureaus we are integrated with, there is no import function needed or supported. Once your account is verified, your Creditsafe and Equifax Business profiles populate automatically.

Earn commissions by referring businesses to Ruproa
How does the Ruproa affiliate program work?

- Ruproa uses a 30-day referral window. If someone clicks your link and signs up or upgrades within 30 days, the conversion is credited to you.
When and how are commissions paid?
- Ruproa processes approved, locked commissions through Stripe. Affiliates can request eligible on-demand payouts, and approved locked commissions are also scheduled automatically on the 1st of each month. Balances below the minimum threshold roll over to the next cycle.
What promotional methods are allowed?
- You may promote Ruproa via social media, email (must comply with CAN-SPAM), blog content, YouTube, and paid advertising. All content must include a clear FTC disclosure of your affiliate relationship. Bidding on Ruproa-branded search keywords, making false claims, self-referrals, spam, and cookie stuffing are prohibited.

- Prohibited activities include: bidding on Ruproa-branded keywords in paid search, false or unsubstantiated claims about the platform, offering unauthorized incentives, spam or unsolicited email campaigns, self-referrals, and cookie stuffing. Violations may result in commission forfeiture and termination from the program.
Funding & Financing
Using your business credit profile to access capital
How does business credit help me access funding?
- Lenders review your business credit profile as a primary indicator of how reliably your business manages its financial obligations. A strong profile with multiple positive tradelines, high bureau scores, and clean public records can qualify you for lower interest rates, larger credit limits, and loans without personal guarantees. Ruproa's automatic reporting builds this profile continuously so you are ready when funding opportunities arise.
What credit scores do lenders typically want to see?
- Requirements vary by product and lender. Traditional bank lines of credit typically look for a strong, established business credit profile with consistent on-time payment history. SBA-backed lenders weigh business credit history alongside personal credit and time in business. Alternative lenders may work with lower scores. Ruproa's marketplace shows options matched to your current profile so you are not applying into the unknown.
What is the SBA and what loans does it offer?
- The U.S. Small Business Administration is a federal agency that guarantees small business loans made by approved lenders. The most common programs are SBA 7(a) loans (up to $5 million for working capital, equipment, and real estate) and SBA 504 loans (for major fixed assets like commercial real estate). SBA loans typically offer favorable rates and longer terms. Strong business credit and at least two years in business are generally required.
What is the difference between a line of credit and a term loan?
- A term loan provides a lump sum repaid over a fixed period with interest, best for specific large purchases. A line of credit is revolving, you draw as needed up to a set limit, repay, and draw again, best for managing cash flow and short-term needs. Strong business credit improves your access to both.
How long do I need to be in business before getting funding?
- Most traditional lenders require at least two years in business with documented revenue. Some alternative lenders work with businesses as young as six months. SBA microloan programs and CDFIs specifically serve newer businesses. Building a strong business credit profile from day one makes you a more competitive applicant when you reach these thresholds.
Can I get funding with no credit history?
- Yes, though options are more limited and rates are higher. Options for businesses with no credit history include SBA microloans, certain alternative lenders, CDFIs (Community Development Financial Institutions), invoice factoring, and revenue-based financing. Ruproa's marketplace surfaces relevant options for your profile including products designed for businesses with limited history.
What is vendor credit and why should I prioritize it early?
- Vendor credit is trade credit extended by suppliers on net-30, net-60, or net-90 terms. Unlike bank loans, vendor credit requires no formal application, charges no interest when paid on time, and is one of the easiest ways to build your tradeline history. It is the most accessible starting point for new businesses and forms the foundation of a business credit strategy before pursuing bank financing.
What is a UCC filing and should I be worried about one?
- A UCC filing is a lender's public notice that they have a security interest in your business assets. Active UCC filings can appear on your business credit reports and may concern lenders evaluating new credit requests. When you pay off a secured loan, ensure the lender files a UCC termination, otherwise the filing lingers and can unnecessarily complicate future applications.
What is a business credit card and should I get one?
- A business credit card is a credit line tied to your EIN. Used responsibly and paid in full monthly, it builds your business credit history, keeps business and personal expenses separated, and earns rewards on business spending. Look specifically for business credit cards that report to commercial credit bureaus, not all do. This is typically one of the first credit products new businesses should establish.
